John Kelso - General Manager

Diploma of Business Management (Commerce), Deakin University Melbourne Master Business Administration, Deakin University Melbourne

John has over 30 years valuable experience in the energy industry, having joined the SECV in 1978. John has held various senior management roles with SP AusNet, TXU and Eastern Energy. In 2004, John was appointed Group Manager, Program Delivery where he was responsible for the delivery of SP AusNet’s capital and maintenance works programs. He continued in this position until his recent appointment as General Manager, Select Solutions. This role allows John to utilise his depth of industry knowledge to manage and grow SP AusNet’s utility, metering and technical services business.

Cheryl Kelly - Business Manager Data and Measurement Solutions

Advanced Diploma of Business (University of Ballarat), Prince 2 Practitioner

Cheryl has worked as a Senior Executive in both utilities and customer contact centres and brings a wealth of experience and diversity to her current role having spent many years as the leader of large customer interface work forces. Cheryl spent 4 years with United Energy as a Customer Service Manager throughout the turbulent times of privatisation. She also worked with TXU as both Managing Director of Global Customer Solutions and General Manager of Customer Service from 1998 to 2004 seeing in full retail contestability. After leaving TXU Cheryl worked in the outsourced contact centre arena as a Group Manager for UCMS and a Senior Contact Centre Manager for Salmat Salesforce. Cheryl also spent time with Citipower/Powercor as a Project Manager with the brief to design and implement a Learning and Development framework. She has more recently worked on the SP AusNet AMI Program as a Business Integration and Transformation Manager. Cheryl enjoys the challenge of change and feels that AMI will be the platform for Select DMS to reach its aspirational targets over the next 5 years.

Scott Moffat – Business Manager Technical Solutions

Bachelor Engineering (Chem) (Hons), Graduate Diploma Applied Finance (ASIA)

Scott has a unique blend of a formally trained engineering background coupled with strong business acumen & commercial skills learnt from 15 years experience working in the energy, mineral processing, petrochemical and automation industries. He enjoys the challenge of consistently exceeding his customer’s expectations as well as operating in a competitive environment. Before his role managing Technical Solutions at SP AusNet, Scott managed an automation, protection & control company, called Data Engineering (owned by Alinta at the time) and previous to that various roles in project managing process engineering & automation projects across a variety of industries.

Matt Peters - Business Manager Utility Solutions

Associate Diploma Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Business

Matt has worked for SP AusNet for the last 20 years in various technical, customer relations, works management, contractor management, business performance and business systems roles. He is currently leading the Utility Solutions functions, including distribution asset inspection and vegetation management, for SP AusNet, Jemena and other clients.

Glenn D'Costa - Manager Marketing & Business Development

BEng (Hons) RMIT University, MEI (Swinburne University), MIEAust

Glenn has over 10 years of utility and commercial experience. He has worked in a variety of roles for SP AusNet over the past three years. Prior to his current role, Glenn was involved in managing some of SP AusNet's key accounts including CitiPower, Jemena, Bluescope Steel and Alcoa. More recently he led a team responsible for the development of a number of key energy infrastructure projects for SP AusNet exceeding $500M. Prior to joining SP AusNet, Glenn has worked with Powercor/CitiPower and Western Power in a number of engineering and asset management roles. During his postgraduate years Glenn represented his university in the John Heine Entrepreneurial Challenge and the Boston Consulting Group Strategy Competition. These experiences demonstrate his passion for business growth and strategy.

Con Constantinou - Commercial Manager

Bachelor of Engineering (Mech) (Hons), Master of Business Administration

Con has 13 years experience in the utilities industry in a variety of roles including business, commercial, contract management and project management. He was appointed to the role of Commercial Manager for Select Solutions in early 2010 to lead a dedicated team, supporting the business in procurement, tender and contractor management. Prior to his role at Select Solutions, Con held a variety of positions including Bilfinger Berger Services as Business Manager for Civil/Utilities and General Manager Support Services (Infrastructure), as well as General Manager at LINEPRO.

Andrew Randall - Strategy Manager

BEng (Hons), ACA, Grad Dip Risk Mgmt

Andrew Randall has worked for SP AusNet in various leadership roles for the past seven years. Prior to his current role, Andrew was in charge of delivering SP AusNet's $500M works program on time, within budget to an agreed quality level. This position also saw him lead a number of teams responsible for Asset Performance & Maintenance and Works Management Systems. Andrew, originally from the UK, gained an Electrical and Electronics degree and Chartered Accountant status before moving to Melbourne in 1998. Andrew worked for KPMG for seven years where he managed a number of high profile international clients such as Siemens and BMW as well as gaining significant experience in M&As and consultancy projects.

Rod Gorfine - Manager Human Resources

Bachelor of Behavioural Science

Rod has over 29 years experience in the Victorian Energy sector and has worked for SP AusNet since late 2004 in various HR Management roles. After the completion of a degree in Behavioural Science, Rod joined the energy industry where he worked in varied HR line and corporate roles for Power Gen and Corp HR, in customer services and distribution function and HR Management roles for Eastern Energy Distribution Business and Eastern Facilities Management.

Brendon Johnson - Manager Health, Safety & Environment

Advanced Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety (Victoria University), Certificate IV Training and Assessment (Victoria University)

Brendon has been a Health Safety and Environment professional for the past 5 years. Utilising a trade background with 12 years experience in the construction industry and having developed a career from Trades Assistant, to Tradesman, to Project Manager through to a HSE Manager to engage those around him. Brendon has provided HSE&Q support for organisations providing construction and maintenance services to Federal, State and Local Governments, Petroleum Industry, Heavy Manufacturing and Utility Sectors. He is passionate about championing HS&E management and empowering employees to be HS&E leaders to develop positive safety culture for Select Solutions.

Paul Layzell - Product & Technology Development Manager

Bachelor of Information Technology (Swinburne University), Certificate in IT Service Management

Paul has worked for SP AusNet for the last 8 years where he successfully delivered projects and programs, and led business technology recommendations. Most recently he worked on SP AusNet's AMI Programs as AMI Metering Project Manager. Paul joined Select Solutions as Product & Technology Development Manager in 2010, where he is responsible for implementing complimentary and innovative new products and services to meet customers' needs in a changing market environment and ensuring Select Solutions IT systems requirements are appropriately addressed and delivered.
